Well, the big day has come and gone!

We had an absolute blast at the wedding and hope you did too.

We heard some people say they missed our vows.. so here they are.  

Jen's Vows To Marty

Marty,

I cannot imagine my life without you. When I’m with you, I can be the person I want to be.  You are such a thoughtful and kind person; you always know how to make me feel special. 

So today, I vow to always appreciate how lucky I am to have someone who makes me feel the way you do, and I strive to make you feel equally special.

I will encourage and inspire you, nurture your individuality, laugh with you, and comfort you through life’s inevitable ups and downs. 

I will love you in good times and in bad, when life seems easy and when it seems difficult.

I will cherish you. I'll always hold you in the highest regard, and always treat you as my best friend and equal.

I give you my love, honesty, trust, and commitment.

Most of all, I promise to appreciate you, and us, as we journey through the rest of our lives.

Marty, I couldn't be more proud to be your wife. I love you.

Marty's Vows to Jen

Jen,

You asked me when I realized I wanted to marry you. I've thought about this and it always comes down to the same moment: When you told me you loved my beard.

While that did increase your points (Yes, I keep a tally, too--you've scored very high) that wasn't the only reason.

It has been everything that we have shared. Laughter and fun. Hiking Big Basin on a “Strenous Trail,” kayaking on my birthday, traveling, living together, & going to the gym together, even watching Seinfeld together.

It's also how well we communicate. We can discuss difficult subjects, stay up late talking about life and what we want out of it...or talk about nothing.

I appreciate how you support me in my career, hobbies, and athletic endeavours.

I even love how you jab me when you're aggravated with me.

It is everything about you, each moment with you.

To fully explain what is in my heart I would need an ocean of words. The essence of it is: You make me happy.

Even if we weren't standing up here today, I know that you would be my partner for life. You make waking up in the mornings a joy, you fill my days with laughter, my nights with warmth, and make my dreams sweet.

I vow to support you in every endeavor, to raise a family with you, to respect you as an individual, to be faithful to you, and to cherish our friendship and love today, tomorrow, and forever.

If all the stars in the universe could shine as bright as my love for you we would never know night.
